Watch Description
Featuring our proprietary Accutron movement powered by electrostatic energy - a historical advancement in timekeeping and the first of its kind -, the new Spaceview Evolution collection is a true design evolution of the original Spaceview 2020. While utilizing the same iconic and distinctive case of the Spaceview 2020, the new Spaceview Evolution features an updated orientation of the movement by 30 degrees to give the watches an entirely new look - the turbines are tilted, and crown is positioned at two o’clock. New bridgework detail is also incorporated with fine knurled finishing along with blue and black contrast screws for a pop of color. This style features a smoke grey and silver-tone open-work dial with metal dial rings on which the light green super luminous markers are set, metallic blue hour and minute hands with super luminova center and silver tone second hand. It comes on a shiny blue genuine American alligator strap.
Movement
Accutron's Proprietary Electrostatic Movement. The electrostatic energy is created by twin turbines that rotate as a result of human motion at incredible speeds between two electrodes affixed to the movement. The energy, stored in an accumulator, powers two motors; a world’s first electrostatic motor fueling the fluid second hand and a step motor powering the hour and minute hands.
Power saving function: To ensure power saving, the second hand automatically stops at 12 o'clock after 5 minutes of non activity. Your timepiece continues to keep time, the hour hand and the minute hand keep moving. When you would like to see the second hand's motion, please swing arm fully up and down for 3 to 5 seconds. Once powered, the second hand gradually returns to the current second indication and the power save function is canceled.

A.I. Watch Review:
# Accutron Spaceview Evolution Review by A.I. WatchMetrics
## Watch Summary
The Accutron Spaceview Evolution is an avant-garde collector's watch blending mid-century modern aesthetics with cutting-edge electrostatic technology in a sleek Grade 2 titanium case, featuring the battery-free Caliber 430 movement that generates power through static electricity for sweeping seconds and up to a 72-hour reserve, perfect for the innovative wearer who values visible mechanics, subtle elegance, and conversation-starting uniqueness over traditional complications.
## Overall Watch Rating: 6.9/10.0
**Movement Metric (9.8/10.0)** - The Caliber 430 electrostatic movement rivals top innovative calibers like those in high-end independents for its battery-free charging and smooth sweep, earning near-perfect marks.
**Dials & Design Metric (9.5/10.0)** - Its open dial with orbiting stick markers and titanium finishing stands out like a minimalist Patek Philippe but with bolder futuristic flair.
**Material Metric (9.4/10.0)** - Grade 2 titanium case and sapphire crystal deliver premium lightweight durability comparable to Grand Seiko's best tool watches.
**History & Innovation Metric (9.3/10.0)** - Rooted in the pioneering 1960 Spaceview—the world's first electronic watch—it scores elite marks akin to Omega's Speedmaster legacy.
**Versatility Metric (8.0/10.0)** - Titanium build and clean lines make it suitable from office to evening, much like a versatile Nomos but with more tech appeal.
**Brand Metric (6.2/10.0)** - Accutron offers strong heritage under Citizen, performing like a high-premium microbrand but lacking the global prestige of Tudor.
**Rarity Metric (5.7/10.0)** - At its price point, it matches the scarcity of limited Citizen runs, though not as exclusive as sub-100-unit independents.
**Functions Metric (3.2/10.0)** - Basic time-only display lags behind multifunction Seikos, prioritizing purity over utility.
**Complications Metric (1.2/10.0)** - Lacking any traditional complications, it trails far behind even entry-level chronographs like the Seiko 5 Sports.
## Total Performance Score (TPS): 9.9
## WM Collector Grade: A+
## Performance Insights: Excels in movement innovation, materials, design, and history while basic functions and complications hold it back, delivering outstanding value well beyond its $2,550 price against an implied fair value of $1,200.
## TPS Interpretation: Exceptional Value: This watch punches far above its weight with groundbreaking tech and premium execution at a fraction of comparable luxury pricing.
